good boat for 1 person, mostly in marinas, lake erie, eg Carver 30 ?

looking for a boat i can use as a second home during the summer. single guy, so want something presentable enough, but i don't need a ton of space - a studio in manhattan felt huge to me. i'll mostly be docked in a marina in a bay, with a handful of 20-50 mile trips (maybe more as i get familiar with living like this), and can stay inland if the weather is bad or i get cabin fever

friend has a carver 3067 santego and it seems appropriate and i like that the living area is pretty open, as opposed to a bunch of internal walls. sounds like most carvers would be good. might be able to go smaller if the layout was perfect. bigger is an option too, though figure complexity increases dramatically as the size gets bigger

any other makes or models i should consider ?

Silverton, Maxim, etc. carver of that vintage and all Four Wins are junk. We had a local Carver 30 that the bottom peeled off while under way and the boat sank in minutes. And the other problems go on and on.
