Liveaboard Marina in Alabama

Hello all... We are considering the coastal area of the state of Alabama. state. We are looking for reasonably priced live-aboard marina in Alabama with possible intent of calling it our state domicile for tax purposes. Need slip or t-end for a 40' x 24' Cat. Will need 70ft ICW access with hurricane plan. Any recommendations out there? Aware of Active Captain and researching that site, but 1st hand knowledge preferred.

Thanks for any input.

Hello! Did you ever find anything along the Alabama coast? I'm researching the same but not finding much.

A cat will be tough. Barber Marina will be completing their facility soon, that may be a possibility. Both it, The wharf and Homeport are accessible from Pensacola inlet or mobile bay with 72’ bridges to the east. However, both homeport and the wharf have an extreme wait for permanent slips. You might try up the bay in Dog river too. Fairhope Docks is an ideal hurricane hole that’s in a walkable town with lots to do, but don’t know if they have “cat space”. Also try fly creek Marina which is also in Fairhope, I’ve seen one cat back there.
