Re: Dealing with galley scraps at anchor?

We ware sailing into Göcek Turkey. By sailing I mean sailing with the wind.
A brand new Gullet with a group of partying people came from Göcek. Maybe a maiden voyage, don´t know but a lot of Turkish made fake Boss suits on board.
Just in passing my brother in law who was visiting us threw an orange peel overboard.
We ware booed at from the Gullet.

That 120 feet commercial vessel has about 1000 HP and one or two generators. That piece of s++t pukes day and night oil into the water and smoke into the air.

Anybody know how much of the burned diesel and lubrication oil actually is spit into the water ?

And why do I see behind each big super yacht or gullet a big drift of flat water ? Soap ? **** ? Oil ?
Have read that some of the bigger yachts use emulgators to hide what they are dumping.

.
Yes...that Truffle Oil leaves a nasty slick.[emoji6]

Humans pollute.....it began when we learned how to make and use fire.

From that initial discovery we began to change the molecular composition of things we use and had time to become... holier than thou !

I am, therefore I Pollute. !
