I have got a crew position on a boat headed out for a several year circumnavigation expedition. I hope to be on it at least 6 months if not a year.

It's first headed to Cuba, Bahamas, Panama...

Can anybody share with me what the children in these areas cherish? I love bringing small gifts that are meaningful to them.

I am new to cruising life. I quit my job, sold my house and left the Bay Are to live aboard with my significant other in Mexico. A few months into the voyage, he had a change of heart and went back to his ex.

While I did not get the man, he did give me a huge gift, the gift of a new perspective. It turns out, I love living aboard and I'm suited well for it. I like the simplicity of having only what you really need and the solitude of the lifestyle on the water. Getting back to life's basics has a way of positively recalibrating one's outlook.

So, if anybody can give me tips on what the kids like in various areas, that would be really helpful.
