I wear my Vibram 5 Fingers all the time on the boat! I love them! Fantastic traction and feels like I'm still barefoot when I need a little warmth and padding.

I read info on this shoe and it says they are not waterproof. Is there a boating shoe?

No, mine aren't water proof, but even racing in them, they rarely get wet. When they do, it's no different than when I use my Gill Neoprene boots.

Pink crocs. It's a well-kept secret, but the only non-slip crocs are the pink ones. Make sure you get the pinkest ones you can find!

Thanks. I found these CROCS made for boating for $16.00 in my size and bought them. I think they will be great for the shower at the marina too. I couldn't find "PINK" just this Khaki color, DARN.

I have worn through several pairs of Crocs. My present pair are white and getting bald. When aboard and if the weather is warm enough I go barefoot but to go into town for supplies I wear the Crocs. I am not too concerned about footwear fashion statements.

I think Crocs make great dinghy shoes. The water drains out, the sand rinses right off, and they dry fast.

I have a set of deck shoes that are ONLY worn on board. That keeps the soles clean and traction high. For on and off the boat on a daily basis at the dock I'll wear nearly anything non-marking.

I'm on my second pair of pink Crocs. I can kick them off anywhere and no one will steal them.

Waterproof boat shoes....at least for puddles no deeper than 18 inches.

Keen waterproof sandals are pretty surefooted and they protect tour toes.

Check the size of the holes versus your little toe. It may be an urban myth but I read there have been some ugly accidents with toes peeking out and getting stuck Out There.
