Re: Beware- criminals in Fl Keys anchorages

A public records search of, " Monroe County Clerk of the Court", criminal option, shows that Jeffery Sundwall has two pages of violations, most involving his boat, but there are several criminal matters in his past.

Not a good citizen for sure...............

Thanks, Ken Z. There's no place where a polite explanation of miscommunication is more needed than on an internet forum.

Yet again? Nothing in your post to suggest that he has any "priors".

And as Hydra pointed out, this is not piracy. Neither is it really cruising related. It could just have easily happened on land, the perpetrator just happens to live on a boat.

We know that but to a great number of dirt dwellers, there is no difference between this guy and cruisers. We all get lumped in with the criminals.

People are, as a general rule, scared. So anything they can do to separate or insulate themselves from things they're afraid of they will do. In cases like this, even though their next door neighbor might be Ed Gein, they'll lump this guy in with everyone who lives on a boat.

Almost every day I see a crime reported on TV and the offender is a known felon with many arrests.
Yep. But, this isn't a failure of Key West law enforcement. This is a failure of the State of Florida's criminal justice and court system. This guy gets arrested all of the time. But, nothing ever happens to him. This lady paid the price for that negligence. As will others in the future, if he is ever set loose on society again.

Re: Beware- criminals in Fl Keys anchorages

I think this thread has run its course. The accused is behind bars and hopefully a jury of his peers will make the right decision in due course, therefore the thread is closed.
