How to sell a Searay!!

I am trying to sell a Searay 290cc for the past year with no success. I am located in Ireland and with the poor weather and even poorer economy I am having no luck!

It has been with a broker for the past year but I'm not sure how good they are?

I was hoping to move it to to Cannes and a charter company there were going to rent it out for the summer for me but that has now fallen through.

Any suggestions what I should do next. I have taken it out only twice last summer!

Re: How to sell a Searay!!

If something is not selling it means the price is above what the market is willing to pay for it. Value is defined by what someone is will to pay for something and not by what the seller thinks is its value.

I hate to say it and understand where you are with it as the seller who wants as much money as he can get from it, but try lowering the price.

David is right, but I would qualify the statement with "If no one is coming to look at your boat, than it is priced above what the market feels the boat is worth".

If your boat is being shown and no one wants to buy it, there can be a few reasons for that. However, if no one is taking the time to come look at it, then you need to lower the price.
