I've never heard of a
liveaboard lobsterman, although I'm sure it happens occasionally when the wife kicks them out of the house. I suspect most people don't want to live at
work.
Around here, recreational lobster and
fishing licenses don't allow the catch to be
sold; it's for personal
consumption only. I suspect that's true in a lot of places, for anything harvested from the oceans.
There may be hobbies, like weaving old
fishing warp into doormats, or sculpting driftwood, which bring in some pocket change for some. And of course, full-time jobs in the
marine trades like working at a marina, or on
boat repair.
