Actually you will get "busted" if you try to smuggle in a lot of cocoa beans. Everything agricultural must be inspected and cleared by the US Agriculture inspectors - they may or may not also be Customs duties on the product. Remember the little card you have to fill out on arriving airline flights to the USA - you are allowed $X dollars or so many bottles of booze, etc. Everything else in excess of the "gratis" import has to be declared, inspected and cleared.

Thank you! I just contacted a grower in Grenada and will be getting a sample. Looks like I would need quite a big boat. The min order is 12.5 MT. Ha! I think I'll let the professionals handle it.
