He is correct, you have to have an asking price.
However I’d Google what a Tamaya goes for before I came up with an asking price, it’s my belief that it’s one of the better Sextants.

Yes, I’m located in northern Va. I think a fair price would be 275.
In 1980 it was a one month paycheck and a Loran was two months.
The Trimbel gps just hit the scene and was only 9k.

Today I went to Bluewater in Ft Lauderdale FL in search of a book, "Sextant for Dummies."
Apparently there has not been a book by that title. LOL
If you need a chart and cannot find it locally, Bluewater will have it and will update it too.

They have many books on the use of the sextant.
They also have the work sheets too.
