Actually many cruisers are going to Cuba all the time.

I am of the understand that the ability of a US citizen to travel to cube by pleasure yacht has been suspended as of just a few weeks ago.

If there is information regarding loop holes or further information about this being changed again, please share.

Don’t ask, don’t tell. If you’re really worried, open a Canadian bank account and don’t spend US dollars. Sail via the Bahamas where you clear in but not out, down through the Raggeds to the north coast of Cuba. Go back via the Bahamas.

No thank you. I value my freedom much more than I value the experience of Cuba. Not worth the risk to me.

When I said loop holes I meant in terms of legal visa's provided by slightly "grey" reasons. Not openly breaking a law and hoping I am not caught.

But this is an international forum, many people can legally visit Cuba, just not Americans as I understand it. Im sure they will sell.

Via the treasury Dept. Mr Trump can forbid you spending American currency in Cuba, but he has no authority to control your movements.

Does anyone know of a yacht race to Cuba planned for the next year or so? Could participating in a sporting event in Cuba be allowed under the new Presidential order?

I really want to sail there again, both for pleasure and to help the Cuban people.

CF isn't public property; they retain the right to remove posts that they determine have violated their stated policies. Eg annoying the locals.
