Re: Is “pinhead” a sailing term?

Most of use are very familiar with a "pinhead sail", but this thread is specifically about a person being called a pinhead. Nothing to do with sails (or beach cats).
Umm, Stu, the title of the thread is "Is “pinhead” a sailing term?". I reckon that this does not imply that the thread is specifically about personal description.

And hence my reply about it's use to describe mainsail heads...and thus Thomm's reply as well.

A good illustration of the recent thread Subject: Do you read the whole thread?

The complete Post #1:
Somebody who’s been on the water for quite a bit says that the word “pinhead” is used for a particular type of person on a boat. Anybody heard of this?

Well dang, Stu... I see that you are correct... guilty as charged! I did read the whole thread, sorta... seems that I missed the body of the OP.

I saw that also, but the title seemed to imply something else.

So, instead of going with more name calling, I stuck with the title question which seemed to be the better way to go.

But for some, new ways to call people names is always welcome it seems.
