Long term Sailing Catamaran in Bahamas

Hi There Cruisers,

It has been a long time since we've been on here and we have missed the cruising life since we had to sell our boat and live a land-based life.

We are looking for a longer-term Catamaran (41ish feet) rental in the Bahamas from November 17thish, 2018 to January 6th, 2019. We are a family of four, (kids 10, 12).

a little about us: we took off on our dream cruise in 2011 for 15 months around the Caribbean. (Kids were 3, 6). We loved every second of it and the plan was to sail around the world. We own a whitewater rafting company in Colorado and in the summer of 2012 we had the worst fire in Colorado history start on our river so we were closed for most of the season (thereby killing the cruising kitty, obliterating it actually), we sailed home from Colombia, sold the boat, opened the doors to our business only to have a 1000 year flood wipeout some of it the following year. We've had several years of recovery now though and are ready to continue our love affair with sailing. We've since chartered a couple of times for a week or two here and there but always end up wanting longer. We've already notified the kid's teachers that we are leaving, now we just need a boat. I've contacted all of the big companies and received all of their quotes but I thought I would try this route. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should go about doing this? Does anybody even do this?? We are still several years away from owning our own boat and cruising again full time (kids, school, music, sports, business etc) so it is really our only option.

Thanks in Advance!

Best,
lindsey

I am restoring a Maine cat 41, she would be available in a non equity partnership. I only use her 3 months a year. Multihuler@aol.com
