Why assume Marathon. There are no basements in the Keys!
I checked and it appears the storm doors into the basement are working. If I find out there really are basements in the Keys I will talk to my folks about moving down there. All they would need to do is have a ramp up the storm door installed and hire a heavy lifting company to move me out and a flatbed truck to transport me and we can be there.

Then I be sipping margaritas and eating cheeseburgers with Jimmy and picking up the Keys girls once they tired of dodging the fins guys

Re: Fat Man in the Basement

Sometimes it is difficult to separate hyperbole from truth, and to differentiate other things from Shinola. Last I'd heard is that some years ago all of the basements in St. Louis had filled with Mississippi river mud. Maybe it was not mud. In any event, Sailorboy1 has clarified the question. I've not met him, but his parents are known to boast about each of their children. He must be the one that floats his own boat.

Re: Fat Man in the Basement

I'm sure he's just bored and stirring the pot for entertainment. We spent a year in Marathon one weekend sitting out a blow. If one is well anchored, the place can become an uncomfortable, crushing, bore fairly quickly,

Re: Fat Man in the Basement

This morning I took a shower. This qualifies me to discuss 'blue water boats' on Cruisers Forum.

Last week I took a bath and fascinatedly watched the water go down the drain.. This qualifies me to discuss cruising boats on CF.

The week before, I got caught in a rain storm and ran home through the lightning, thunder and rain. This qualifies me to discuss club racers on CF.

WOW, you can run? I feel you have lots to learn about basement living and boats as there isn't anywhere to run to, so running is a poor ability to have.

Re: Fat Man in the Basement

One of my all time favorite songs is Fat Man in the Bathtub, though any version with Lowell is best. I have to say that I don't want to imagine this basement environs when listening to that song!
