Many things are made here. As good as Trinidad and in most case better
price. I have mentioned in other posts the incredible prices, but if you are not here it is tough to get items at those rates.
Most of the
work done here is custom. Labor is cheaper than dirt so most places spend labor building and fitting to each application. Two identical boats will have each peice made slightly different.
Because of low labor costs and not much
money to build industries most are cottage type industries with low capital investments that are geared toward custom
work. So very few things are mass produced and shipped out. Even here you have to oversee the work and ride the makers to get you finished to your satisfaction. ANd do even ask about a rush job. You do give up a lot for the
cheap labor ragtes.
