Keith,
we brought the boat in from Trinidad via Los Testigos and cleared in at Margarita Island. The folks at Nautica Express (
www.nauticaexpress.org)
did all the paperwork for us (immigration,
customs, national guard, 6 month cruising
license, etc.) while Gabi and I went
shopping. We left the boat at Hilton
Hotel "marina" (can't really call it a marina, but it is the best available). From there we took a day trip to Puerto la cruz and tied up at our friend's marina ÁquaVi. We are currently cruising the Morrocoy National Park and should be back in Caracas by the end of the month, where we have our permanent slip.
If you need any assistance here in Venezuela please let me know. We are a small local cruising community and would be delighted to help in any way possible.
Fair Winds,
Hanns
