I'll still be getting my 25 cents a post, right? It pays for the coffee here.

Wondered what that was about.
first emotional reaction was negative.
then reason took over and hey I'm getting a lot more for my membership fee than I pay.
Andy I glad you provide this board.

Confusion

Seems to be confusion re the green legislators and the green humourists
Some are taking their new status very seriously so please no humour
Others are trying for 3200 posts by the end of the week Lets get back to sailing or drinking or trading in wife threads

Thank you Andy. The upgrade makes sense and the cost is modest compared to the benifts. Can you swing a discount with West Marine? How about Defender? Well then how about Charlie Cobra

OK, I've crawled out of my corner now. My wounds are still sore, but not as painful as earlier when I first realised I had been left out of yet another clique. Which of course, I do want to be part of (a status I am unlikely to obtain, not being able to get the paypal thing sorted) - I was hurting when I said I don't.....

And I've gotta say, Andy - I think you do a great job. I've been in and out of several online forums - and this is the only one which I actually enjoy and keep coming back to when time allows. The tone is great, and I've heard again and again from our great moderators that that is due to you.

Thanks!

PS - Where can I see the burgee? What does it look like?

thanks andy for taking the time and creating and maintaining what effectively is a "global pot luck dinner" for the aspiring sailor, the novice, the part time wage slave, new cruisers who have made the break, slightly salty,s who have been doing it for a few years and us crustys who have spent more time at sea than on land and should know better, info is every thing.

"forewarned is forearmed", the more you know the better able one is to make the correct decision, that may save money, and in the extreme save you and your crews lives............................

as a poster quoted to one of my more risque' threads "JEEESSus !!!!...this forum is much more entertaining than commercial television...my younger wife just walked out on me last week and i can still laugh at your misplaced jokes !...
and
Reading this thread is a great entertainment and a good cure for cabin fever as we near the end of January - good job guys

Andy,

As long as your (our?) increased commercialism does not end up like that of Sailnet, OK.

That site is now so slow that us instant gratificaion junkies can't tolerate it.

And I am one of those that has gained far more than I have contributed.

And like another said, It is much better than TV while I wait for the phone to ring so I can race off to another urgent surgery.

Didn't you mean "forum" of humour? :-) I'll be here all week, try the veal! Play well with others, or I'll invent the RED dot! Believe me, you don't want one of those... :-) BTW, I had no idea that Andy R sold CF to someone named Randy A.... Sounds British...
