G'Day Skip,
Don't know or particularly care about tradition here, but we have found when dealing with officials in other countries that it makes life easier if all ones
documentation (boat rego, hailing port, personal address, addresses on various forms of ID and so on) agree. Shouldn't matter, but it seems to at times.
Had some friends who were Portuguese citizens, home address in Mozambique,
boat registered in
South Africa but built in Sri Lanka... boy did they have a time whilst clearing in and out of just about everywhere they went! It was all above board, but...
So, if you intend going foreign, keep it simple!
Cheers,
Jim and Ann s/v Insatiable II lying Coffs Harbour, rolling our guts out!
