Since the cost of sending out one business letter or bill was over $5 ten years ago, and the cost of processing the revenue payment is even higher, I would suggest calling for an investigation into the intentional waste of
government funds, sending out a $5.60 bill that will cost at least $10 to process, for a new LOSS of $4.40 to your tax department.
They need to itemize the billing and processing
fees, and then suspend all tax charges when the amount of the receipts will be less than the cost of the process. Or, give you the option to pay for two years at once (with credit for interest) so that at least they will make more than they spend when they mail out a bill.
That's just plain bad
government. No wonder the country is in trouble, the tax department never learned basic business!
