Thanks for that, Mark.
The plot thickens! The reason for the
depth of our confusion is that the bolts sent by Beneteau are 7 x 90mm long, and 2 shorter ones. The two shorter ones fit in their respective bolt holes. Of the 7 remaining, only one fits as you would expect it to. The other 6 all appear to have been cut down to make them 76mm long.
We have been back to Beneteau to ask them whether the bolts they sent were the right ones for our
boat. Their response was that ALL Beneteau keel bolts are the same length. (This despite the fact that they had already sent us two short bolts, and 7 longer ones.)
We are just looking for answers because if we don't find them, we may have to remove the keel to get answers. We wanted to know if anyone else has had a similar problem, or if anyone knows anything about the correct length for the keel bolts in an
Oceanis 370 1991 model?? If we can get answers, it will save us the task and dollars involved in removing the keel perhaps unnecessarily. Living in hope and despair
