Tread Master / Treadcote alternative

Tread Master / Treadcote alternative
So my Treadmaster is yet again a disgrace does it’s job but visually ugly.
At around £100 per bottle of paint / rejuvenator
What are the alternatives?
Mainly for the paint
Although not the most expensive thing on any boat the price for a coloured dye seams excessive

Re: Tread Master / Treadcote alternative

I had tread master on my steel boat for years and years, at that time, grey was the only color available.
Never had any issue with it whatsoever. It was bonded to the painted deck with a one part epoxy. Never lifted anywhere, no bubbles, no discoloration, etc.

Not sure what paint I'd use ???Not even sure you can paint that material ???

Yes they make a paint for it called Treadcote - well they call it a rejuvenator.

Something is seriously wrong with your Treadmaster. We had this on a boat for 17 years when we sold it and it looked like new.

I have it to protect the deck from the anchor chain since 1994 and UV has cracked it but it still looks like clean Treadmaster.

A long shot....but you could try scrubbing that with some bleach.....pour some bleach on it, let it sit for a while, and then scrub.

As mentioned before, never had any issues with mine....and that boat...now 40 years old...is still around and tread master still good.

Re: Tread Master / Treadcote alternative

I've had tread master on my steel boat's deck for about 20 years now. To clean, I just pressure wash the painted deck and tread Master. Cleans up pretty well. No scrubbing required.
