Transocean Regatta Antifouling

I'd appreciate comments on Transocean Regatta Antifouling (or Regatta Ultra). This is the bottom paint proposed by my boatyard in Isla Mujeres, Mexico, and I have no experience with this brand.

Re: Transocean Regatta Antifouling

Looks like it is an ablative and uses cuprous oxide as the biocide. Other than that, I got nothing. Never heard of it before.

Re: Transocean Regatta Antifouling

Right, it appears to be primarily a large ship/commercial product range, with two GRP yacht products, Regatta and Ultra Regatta.

Re: Transocean Regatta Antifouling

I'm curious if you ended up using the Regatta antifoul. The previous owners of my boat put it on 12 months ago and I'm curious how long it lasted?

Re: Transocean Regatta Antifouling

We have been using Trans Ocean Ablative anti fouling on both out boats since 2008, works fine and half the price of US brands.

Trans Ocean is a massive Dutch company mainly dealing in commercial vessels, the fact sheets are available on line as well
