Testing 1.4 Baystar Helm Limitations to HP???

So i have some good used helms i picked up for some change, i couldn't turn them down even if just to resell.

I have a dual station 26 footer. 260 inboard. HC 5330 steering ram. Non power assisted. Fishing set up pleasure boat. Maybe 5500 to 6000 lbs fiberglass

After acquiring the set up i found that the horse power on the helms are limited to 150. Im near doubling that. Yet the 1.7 helm only slightly larger is recommended for my set up.

Will i hurt these helms by using them or is the limitation for power assit applications? I want to upgrade to the larger hemls but its a near 1000 dollar upgrade. After going over budget on the engine rebuild, paint and interior refit the little lady will have multiple cows.

WWCFD? Run them? Im not hotrodding this beast of a floating cabin. The most abuse she sees is a spilt beer in a wake.
