Re: Source for old Force 10 Oven burner cap

The reason for my previous post was/is I am a pattern maker with foundry contacts whom I have discussed this with; so we do have a way to make new ones but I want to know how many people want them. Before we run a few off.

In France they probably bought them from ENO (ENO SAV), but ENO gets them from Zanussi.
The photo You posted cannot be exact sinde the hole is missing at the centre where the gas enters the burner. I recommend to take a photo of Your own burner and to post it here.
A similar burner can be found at Sito Ufficiale Electrolux: Ricambi e Accessori - Corona per bruciatore piccolo per piano di cottura

That photo was sent to me by Force 10, after I sent them a photo of my burner.

Re: Source for old Force 10 Oven burner cap

wrong burners. I already have three of the retrofit kits installed, but they're on the top of the stove.

I'm looking for the CAP for the OVEN burner. It is in the very bottom of the stove oven. Not for new stove top burners.

Force 10 does not make a retrofit kit for the oven burner. I went through that with them before ever starting this thread.

I am not looking for a burner. I am looking for the cap that sits on top of the burner. There is not a central hole through it. There is a ring of small holes around it, to diffuse and distribute the gas.

Re: Source for old Force 10 Oven burner cap

Suliwar So much for your speculation. We already know that the foundry in France was Sourdillion and that the last order placed was sixteen years ago/

Thus if you have any information regarding Sourdillion's continued existence that could be helpful especially if they still have the pattern plate.

Other wise I am just waiting to hear back who all wants them before I make more.

Re: Source for old Force 10 Oven burner cap

Canibul,

I have one of those old Force 10 stoves. Had it refurbished a few years ago and it now works like new again. As for the oven burner, if you can't find the right burner cap how about removing the rim it sits on and replacing it with a new base and rim. There is no connection between the orifice and the burner cap. The propane just shoots into the cap. There is a small thingamajig that fits in the hole the orifice is in(think it controls air) but the burners seem to work just as well without it. The important thing about the oven is the aluminum plate that sits over the burner. Without it the oven will not get hot.

Delta and Burner Systems International bought Sourdillon, the gas burner manufacturer, in 2002 ➥ Delta plc Announces the Disposal of Sourdillon - C.W. Downer & Co. | International Middle Market Investment Banking

Whereupon Gas Components Group, Incorporated ("GasCo"), was created in June of 2002 by an investor group consisting of Dyson Investments LLC (The Dyson Family and DKM Management), Noro-Moseley Partners of Atlanta, Georgia and River Associates of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Immediately following its formation, GasCo acquired Burner Systems International (BSI), Inc. from DKM and The Sourdillon Group from Delta plc.

I did try lighting the oven burner, without the cap, to see if it needed one. It shoots a flame upwards like a rocket, immediately warping the plate above it. Which is a stainless plate in this oven. It won't stay lit, anyhow, but if it did it would quickly burn a hole in the steel.

I have been considering just replacing the entire burner assembly with some other one that I can get parts for. Force 10 have been very little help in this. They did send me the photo.

The oven burner is the same size as the small burners on the top.
