Need: Force 10 Stove Burner Cap

Would anyone know where I could get a burner cap for an older model Force 10 stove? I've contacted Force 10 directly, but they only offer conversion kits.

Thanks,
Brenda

Have you tried things like EBAY?

Also, a lot of times, marine consignment stores have a wide selection of stove parts. It is hit or miss, but it is worth a shot.
Another thing, there is actually a website/forum devoted strictly to camping and marine stoves. I can't recall the name but I was on it several years ago looking for some answers about a camping Gaz stove.

Good Luck!

I have an older three burner force 10 stove I just replaced. It is only suitable for parts. I was going to put it on ebay but if somebody wants it they can come and get it. I am near Philadelphia.

Philadelphia is a long way from Kamloops, BC. Does your stove have the same type of black burner caps? Would you be willing to pop one into the mail if so?

The model number for the stove is FT-630-pr. I cannot tell from the pic if caps are the same. Let me see if I have a spare. But they are black burner cap.

Mine is a model #60120 2-burner drop-in propane stove. I think the part number of the cap is 89008 - "small black burner cap." I'm not sure of the actual diameter of the cap as I'm not at my boat right now, but I'll be heading there on the weekend and can measure it then.

Dear Ewingengr:
I happen to have an older Force 10 3-burner LPG stove, and unfortunately, the broiler element is cracked and unusable. Makes for a slow oven. I've been in contact with Force10 and they no longer manufacture the 'cylindrical' broiler element on my stove. Newer Force10 models use a rectangular ceramic element, which won't fit my unit.
If your stove features the tubular top broiler element (mine dates from perhaps 1987) I'd be delighted to purchase it from you at a fair price. I believe this is item 16 on your list? Please advise: harveykipnis@yahoo.com

Hi Ewingengr,

You do have the part I need, yay! It's the small black burner cap, 89008, measuring 6 cm in diameter (2 3/8 inches). Would $10 plus shipping and handling be a fair price?

Thanks,
Brenda

Denny,

I have a brand new broiler for a Force 10. Don't know what model, the stove is a 3 burner , 2003/4 model. This is the ceramic broiler. The original broiler fell apart when the stove was new and they sent me a new one. I never installed it as we use the oven a lot and the broiler took up too much room. It's on my boat in FL. I won't be down there till Nov/Dec but if you're down there or in the Bahamas next season you can check it out.

Hi Everybody! Does anybody have a manual in PDF for the Force10 oven?

Reason: I have a separate thick metal (aluminium?) plate that came with the oven (actually with the boat when I bought it recently) and have no idea what it is for.

Thanks, Duke (new on this forum)

Dutch,

That plate belongs to a 20 year old Force 10. I know, I have one. It goes in the oven directly over the burner. The grooves at the sides of the plate (not seen in your photo as they are on the other side) fit in the racks on the side. Without this plate the oven will not heat up properly. These old ovens have a single burner in the bottom of the oven and the burner is the same as a large stove top burner. After a fair amount of use the plate will warp badly and the oven will fail to heat. When this happens heat the plate with a torch and sit a concrete block on it to flatten it again.
