Slack on steering gear - Bavaria 39

Hi All,
Today I found that I have a lot of movement on lower cog/gear of the steering wheel (chain from steering wheel goes through two cogs, I mean bottom one.) should it be that way? See video: https://youtube.com/shorts/qTBGObfln5s its not chain moving on gear its whole gear moving. :scared:

We can' tell from the photo. Possibly it is designed that way to make the chain drive where it comes down from the steering pedestal self-aligning. Look carefully for a maker's name on the steering gear. When you find it, go to Google to find the installation manual or the owner's manual for the steering gear.

Else contact the yard and get your answer from the horse's mouth.
