Re: Rotten Bridge Deck Catamaran?

I own an Iroquois, there is no core in the bridge deck. That area was designed as a 3" deep depression down the centerline for footroom from the door to the table. Many people including myself built a level floor over the bridge deck to eliminate the dip. I am guessing they just filled it with foam and being the lowest point it collected water. It is not a structural issue. If you remove the aftermarket foam you will still have the original designed solid fiberglass bridge deck underneath. It was designed for a 10hp outboard. A heavy diesel would significantly change the waterline. Its listed as a project and would say it's priced right. I have seen Iroquois in a lot worse shape sell for more.
