Port Spreader moved Fore and aft... tighten rig?

Hi I have an isomat mast, with one set of spreaders. I can't really find any info about this online.

My port spread has about a centimetre of play fore and aft. I can see the gap is leave from the deck. if I shake the rigging it clunks loudly.

the PO left a rig tension gauge so i decided to check the standing ring.

I found that the rig on the port side is slightly less tensioned than the Starboard side. Could this lack of tension be my issue?

I am planning a visual inspection this weekend PWN weather dependent.

any help or wisdon is appreciated.

Decent weather predicted, you need a good look at that, to see the scheme used to secure the spreader(s).
Some masts used a casting that the hollow end of the spreader slips over, and then a pin/bolt secures it.
Depending upon rig tension to hold a spreader is asking for disaster.

Plus one on Bowdrie's wisdom.

There is only one shroud attached to the spreader. Therefore, it needs to be rigidly attached to the mast or it will be unstable and not do it's job. Evidently your port spreader can wobble at the mast. It's time to focus your binoculars on the connection, see what tools you will need, and head on up there to repair it.
