Rudder sensor only works when AP is engaged

I'm having some autopilot issues, the rudder position readout on my p70 and my axiom mfd only shows up when Auto is engaged, not in standby. This is a recent development. I did a software update, and now the whole system needs to be recommissioned. When I start the dockside wizard, it doesn't seem to even recognize that there is a rudder sensor, since it goes into the setup prompts for a system without it (rudder limit angle, hard over time, etc.) It doesn't go into the prompts to calibrate the sensor center position and hard over positions. Any ideas on what's going on?

I have an EV400, 2x P70 control panels, and a Lewmar Mamba autopilot drive (which I selected as a type 2 rotary drive in the dockside wizard).
