epoxy mortar for ferro hull repairs

Hi,

Has anyone used epoxy mortar for ferro hull repairs? I have a 50cm by 25cm hole which included some of the mesh. I've cut back to good mesh and tied in new stuff and am ready to re-plaster. The use of epoxy mortar appeals as it will cure quickly and I can't get to the boat every day to keep a "normal" mortar repair damp during curing.

Colin Brookes' book gives some details of the mix and I've seen some adverts for ready mixed epoxy mortar. Any advice would be very welcome.

Wow big hole ! I don't see a problem using epoxy but mortar epoxy ... Now are you planning on putting mesh back in ? I would just glass it using lots of woven roving for strength . Epoxy seems to stick to cement pretty well .
