DIY Boatyard in Washington State

Does anyone know of a boatyard is WA state where I can do my own bottom work?

No, but I was hauled out last year and S/V Basik from Washington was next to me in Napa, Ca. You can do your own work there. The weather is good. They have a great chandlery too. Great yard

Haven't been there in years. Last time I was there they had strict rules. Tenting for any sanding, tarp under the boat. None of my tools, sanders, vacuum, etc. passed their requirements. I had to rent everything. Easiest was to rent from them to make sure I had the right stuff.

You might try La Conner Maritime Services. They are pretty strict about any work that can result in groundwater pollution, but try to accommodate customers' needs.

I think them, Boat Haven in Pt Townsend, Canal in Seattle, and one of the Anacortes yards are the only ones left in the state.

I had a good experience at Hylebos, but they've had problems with people not following the rules and leaving them open to EPA fines. I'd just be up front that you'll be following the policies, and then do a good job staying tidy and you'll have no problems there. Everyone on staff was very good to me, especially when they saw we were serious about doing things correctly.
