Re: Connection of Steering Cables to Roller Chain

I just did this on my Bayfield 32. My cables were attached to the chain just as you described. A toggle on the end of the chain to a thimbled eye on the cable. The eye is formed with Nicopress swages. I bought new SS cable and Nicopress swages from McMaster Carr, and a swaging tool on Ebay for less than $50. Be sure to get the correct tool. Worked a champ. It's how Edson makes them:http://newcontent.westmarine.com/con...e/10122935.jpg
