C&C27 purchase issues ,Major or Minor

Hello all,I am considering the purchase of a CC27 at a good price but every bargain can have a down side.A number of repairs have been made to the boat.Would these be considered structurally terminal or acceptable minor issues ?

Old, poorly maintained boat. What’s your intent - to go sailing or work?

I don't want to be a downer, especially because I hate seeing old boats left to rot. Unfortunately, I would walk away from this one, even if it was free. This isn't a particularly uncommon boat, and if you like the design you should be able to find one of these in well-maintained condition for still not much money.

The cracks along the chainplate suggest a structural issue with the chainplate bulkhead lifting, or at least water damage in the deck in that region. Also, what is the white stuff adjacent to the mast base? From the photos, I personally wouldn't call them "acceptable minor issues" in any case. Anything can be fixed, but I wouldn't tackle this one - find a boat that's been better maintained and go sailing.

In the third picture, what is the residue that we see in the picture? Black mold? If so, hard pass.

Folks are correct that C&C are not hard to find. Patience, there is a boat that will serve.
