Airmar "Transom&q uot ; style triducer does not give waterspeed?
Hi, we have an, a bit dated, Garmin Fishfinder 250 (B&W screen) with an Airmar P66 triducer.
Depth and water temperature work, but we get no waterspeed.

The unit does ping, the paddle wheel turns, but the waterspeed stays blank.

Any thoughts how to fix this.

We are on a budget, so repairs of any type are much preferable over buy new.

The manual provides no solution.

We have a working GPS which provides speed over ground, but speed through the water is nice to derive current speeds.
