Brown ooze from fiberglass

1988 Silverton 34X. Fiberglass under windshield oozes brown crud. Not wet. Not structural. Not soft.Washes off easily with water and brush. What is it? And is there a paint I can use to make it less unsightly? Thanks.

Moisture mixed with tannins from the wood core. Core is wet. When it heats up the moiture pushes out and leaves a brown spot. The water evaporates and what you see is the tannins from the wood.

Make sure the core is dry and seal it.

Re: Brown ooze from fiberglass

You will want to find the moisture in the wood filler and fix that first before you seal the outside as you don't want to have the moisture pool up somewhere inside...
