Blister Years

Pretty sur ehull blisters were pretty much confined to certain number of years of production boats, after some year I think resin was changed which largely reduced blistering? If so, after what general year did this occur?

re: Blister Years

I read somewhere that most blister boats were made during the mid 70s oil embargo when there were lines at gas pumps. Seems there were inferior resins made during that era. My 76 morgan fit into the scenario, many blisters.

Don't believe it. Vinylester resins etc. blisters still occur. You cannot be assured of no blisters just from a build date. Boats built in the 90's and 2000 still have blisters.

Blisters happen.....or don't. Our '76 has two that I know of. I've seen them on older and newer boats.

Totally agree. I've seen many 70's and 80's blister free boats and many 90's and 2000's with them.

I've also seen 36 year old boats suddenly develop blisters in their 36th year.
