Advice for Project List Pre-Splash?

Our Pearson 386 is on the northern tip of the US in Rogers City, Michigan anxiously awaiting our return.

We took over stewardship of her last Fall and will be Sailing/ICW-ing her home to Florida starting Memorial Day Weekend. I plan to go down early to prep her for launch.

Any recommendations for things I should check/do to take advantage of her being out of the water?

Thank you very much!

Eric

Zincs, grease through hulls, grease prop if feathering type, check cutlass bearing, wax hull. Need anymore work?

Even if it’s a fixed prop, pull it and give the shaft a light greasing. This will make it easier to remove later. It should take 5 min to pull your prop not half a day with heavy equipment.

I never bothered to do this when I had a fixed prop, but it makes sense.
