2022 Antifouling Med and Caribbean. Pls read post 1 before reply. Thanks.

Hi,

after my previous threads to this did not yield useful results, I give it another try.

Trying to find the best solution for us.

If anyone likes to suggest a commercial source and paint, feel free to PM me, appreciate it.
We are currently in Portugal/Spain.

PLEASE DO NOT TURN THIS INTO AN ENVIRONMENTAL THREAD, IF YOU WANT THAT OPEN YOUR OWN THREAD. THANK YOU.

I am looking for a strong antifouling suitable for one season in the WESTERN MED followed possibly MULTIPLE seasons in the Carribean. So only folks with experience in warm waters need to reply please.
ABC3 is apparently not sold in EUROPE, so I'm looking for good alternatives.
We do not have the cash for COPPERCOAT application at this time.

Currently we have Hempel Pro (https://www.dsg-schiffsausruester.de...240/p-961.html) on it and it's not living up to the expectations after the first season.

Boat is a 35 ft/10.6m catamaran.
We are cruising casually not racing, typical boat speed is 5-6kn, we had a max of 12kn so far.
We frequently anchor for several weeks in a row.
Hardly ever in a marina.
Boat stays in the water all year, apart from drying out occasionally.

Ideal would be if we can apply it over several tide cycles. Basically put half a coat on in the first cycle than add the other one in the next. Repeat that until three coats are on. Repeat on hull number two.

We do all work ourselves.

Thanks for suggestions as to what to use and what to avoid.
