Yanmar YSE8 seized

Jimlahey there's a running Yanmar YSE8 in Melbourne of Facebook marketplace for $1500. Then in Rockhampton is another Yanmar YSE8 for $250, the owner has no idea on the condition. It looks alright in the photo, just a shame it is so far away from you.

This is a raw water cooled engine,if left standing for a length if time,I have bad a rust build up that cracked the block and sleeve ,totally froze the piston , but still a cheap engine to re build .⚓️⛵️

I would expect the cost of an electric drive insulation would far exceed the rebuild cost of the old engine ,not to mention usable range ,but horses for courses .⚓️⛵️
