I am trying to find out if it is possible to connect a
Yanmar 24hp internal sailboat
motor to my existing
Raymarine seatalk/seatalk ng network.
I have on board a RM EV100
wheel autopilot system, an i70, IT5 box, AIS350 and a Lowrance Plotter, all integrated with
seatalk and
seatalk ng.
The idea is to be able to
monitor the Yanmar's functioning from the i70 (i.e.: rev's,
cooling temp,
oil pressure, etc.), as the instrument is capable of showing those parameters. But I don't know if the
Yanmar motor can send
NMEA or seatalk sentences and how to
plug it to the network.
