Suzuki outboard manuals online?
Hello all, can someone direct me to a website to get outboard owners and service manuals, specifically Suzuki. Seems all the ones I tried were dubious spam sites. Thanks..

Re: Suzuki outboard manuals online?
Welcome to CF Sailoread1 !
GordMay our resident guru of finding all things... should be able to help out... I don't think any of us are quite sure how he does it... But if it can be found, he'll point ya in the right direction!
(similar request happened just yesterday)

PS: A sincere reply of thanks would have been nice in that case...

Greeetings and welcome aboard the CF, Sailkoread1.
Which particular engine do you have? (Year, 2/4 Stroke, HP)
You can get Owner's Manuals from Suzuki Marine

Re: Suzuki outboard manuals online?
Thanks for those links. The motor is a Suzuki 2012 6 hp 4 stroke DF6. I recall years ago I was able to download a honda outboard service manual from a site for free. The Suzuki site I visited wanted me to buy the manuals. An owners manual would be a great help to get started.

Re: Suzuki outboard manuals online?
Can't help you out with the late model 4 stroke, but I do have a pdf of the Suzuki factory service manual for "All Motors 2-225 HP 1988-2003" Its rather a hefty file (21.9MB) but if anyone needs a copy, I can host a download location. Send me a PM for the URL. Don't remember where I found it, but google is your friend. Needed it for my 6hp 2 stroke.

No problem mon....
PM means a "Private Message" You can send a private message to other CruisersForum members by clicking on their "user-name" in the post and clicking on the "send a private message to (who ever) option.
A URL is the same as a "Link"
Reason I asked for folks to send me a private message for the link is, if I post the link in the forums the search engines will pick it up and with such a large file, it could cause me problems on my server. For the CruisersForum community, no problem... For the world at large, no way.
So anyway, I sent you a private message with the link. Hope it helps.

Try www.boats.net. Not exactly PDF manuals as such, but rather HTML versions...

Interestingly, the DF6 is exactly the same specs as DF4, which I have. Piston displacment, bore and stroke....etc, etc.
I often wonder how I could get the DF6 power output and wonder is it just a higher rev range using a different neddle in the carb?

Re: Suzuki outboard manuals online?
Thank you all for your informed responses . I was able to find and download an owners manual for a tohatsu 6 hp which is very similar to the Suzuki. Got the new motor run in now and looking forward to forays out to the outer reef and a run from Port Douglas to Cooktown in my 20 ft glass cat once the monsoon trough clears.
cheers, Sailoread

Re: Suzuki outboard manuals online?
Hi All
Realise this is a pretty old thread, but just thought I would see if anyone ever found a copy of the DF6 4 stroke suzuki outboard owners manual.
I have a copy of the tohatsu and also the 21mb file mentioned above.
Thanks
David
