hi - thanks all, started tearing away at bellows to get into seized shaft and found a tear halfway up the water pipe which explains the odd symptoms - now to get the thing apart and ill rebuild the lot.. parts arriving this weekend bellows kit, shift kit and ujoints -

Manifolds are infamous for clogging up and replacement.

Did you replace the raw water impeller or did you put the old one back in? Always replace it. You go through a lot of effort just to get to it. Visually it can look good but now be bad.

Your exhaust passages appear to be to the point where they need to be replaced. That is a lot of corrosion.

hi guys - thanks, found the problem! tx lizzard for the offer but got outdrive off and found few issues. By next week she shd be up and running with new everything -
