Marinette Fuel Filter Obsolete

It looks like my Marinette Fuel Filter is now obsolete.
Description: Chrysler 4142597-1*fuel filter*in-line made of stainless steel and has two*5/16" female*inverted flare connections.

Two filters that I believe should work:
Sierra 18-37824 Inline Fuel Filter
Crusader Marine 23250 Kit, Fuel Filter
but they will require changing the fuel line fittings.

Any recommendations?

Re: Marinette Fuel Filter Obsolete

Hi WD2-

The Sierra might be worth another check. The Crusader number you gave did not cross for me with the Sierra number you gave, so they might be different threads.

With the right adapters or a refit you could put in anything rated for the application.

Do you want it to be 'stock' or 'easily serviceable' or looking 'racecar'?

Edelmann makes adapters from 5/16 inverted flare to threads or hose barb, 4$ each at Summit Racing,

I have no affiliations with anyone listed in this reply, and I am not 'current' with inboards, sold my 1970's I/O years ago...

All the best working through this.

Re: Marinette Fuel Filter Obsolete

Well it looks like there are no adapters and it looks like I will have to splice one in using fuel injection line. Those ideas were good tho.
