How to Know if a Volvo Penta D2-55 Engine Is a D2-55A, B, .., F ?

Hi all,

I am in the process of ordering spare parts for our Volvo Penta D2-55 engine. When looking for a new hose for the sea water pump, however, it appears that the hose exists in two versions: one for the D2-55A and D2-55B, and another version for the D2-55C, D, E and F.

How can I find out whether our engine is a D2-55A/B or C/D/E/F?

The product number of our engine is D868987; does this mean that the engine is a D2-55D?

I'm confused . Your ideas are very welcome...
