Fuel filters, in line or parallel?

Have 2 diesel tanks, 2 identical racor filters, 27hp engine. Best have filters in line or parallel?
Fuel here seems pretty trouble free

Re: Fuel filters, in line or parallel?

Parallel with manifolding that enables changing between filters on the go.

Re: Fuel filters, in line or parallel?

like above post said, parallel, here is a pic
from website: https://www.scintex.com.au/products/...arator-duplex/

You may find another filter on the engine as well.

I can think of only 1 reason for putting filters in-line:
- to have 2 different that filter to ie 30 micron for the first filter and to 5 micron on the second one
I can think of only 1 reason to have 2 parallel and fixed and this likely does not apply to you with a small engine:
- the max flow rate of diesel can not be handled by one filter, so one would need 2 or more filters parallel.

Or in your case, is there a fuelfilter for each tank?
