Diesel Engine wanted for 26fter

Hi guys. I've got this lovely cruisers rogue 2570 and I comes with a v8 detroit diesel. Engine too powerful for drive leg and it keeps twisting the shaft. What or who can recommend a good replacement diesel and where can I find one please?

If you want to stick with a 2 cycle - you might try a smaller version of what you have - say a 6-53 -- you don't say if you have the 8-53 or 8-71 but the a 6-53 would be less power than either of those --
