Voyage 500 as a Circumnavigator

I am planning on taking my family of six cruising with a departure in approximately 3 years. I have four girls, so they will double up in cabins, but I would like to have at least 1 full cabin for visiting guests, possibly 2 cabins.

The Voyage seems to have plenty of room and I like the layout, but don't know about the viability and construction quality of this boat as a long term blue water cruiser.

Have also looked at the newer lagoon 500 and love the layout, but the same questions stand. Also, I'm not sure about the flybridge setup for long term/range cruising.

Any input would be great.

Thanks!

Re: Voyage 500 as a Circumnavigator

There has been quite a bit of forum activity on both of these boats recently. Try a search on the forum. Both are fine bluewater boats and both have good points and bad points notably low bridgedeck clearance but so many othe boats suffer from this same issue.

I'm not sure if you are aware of this site but Boatdesign also has had discussions about bridgedeck clearance and the pros and cons of nacelles like the Lagoons have.
