Me?
No, we sold her after 10 years 19 years ago. Last I heard, she was in Norway.

Really good boat.

Re: Upgrading Outboard for EDELCAT33

Ok so I got the 4 blade pitch 7 propeller, installed first wrong and damaged the ring a little bit, but some filing did the trick. Is so far great! $84 with shipping, I am good with this for now, so I can use the saved money to pay for my kids college dorm haha

Great that it's working for you. Much cheaper than a new motor!

Can you give some details about the difference in performance you're seeing?

Re: Upgrading Outboard for EDELCAT33

I will try a series of maneuvers such as picking the mooring ball, approach the marina pier, reverse steering to a dock, going thru channel markers with the current against me, and finally checking speed at half and 3/4 throttle
This got to wait for Saturday and next wheeling, will report back.

First impressions is great torque on moving the boat from a dead stop

Re: Upgrading Outboard for EDELCAT33

Is your motor rigged with steering lines to pivot the motor along with the rudders? That helps maneuvering immensely.

And the motor bracket has a working hold down for reverse?

Re: Upgrading Outboard for EDELCAT33

No is not, I have not figure out how to do it as the distance from the rudders is about 8 ft and the pivot is not aligned

Re: Upgrading Outboard for EDELCAT33

My motor had a small "tiller", which was a piece of heavy fiberglass or metal about 1 1/2 in wide and maybe 2 or 3 inches long bolted to the holes usually in the front "handle" under the powerhead.

There were lines from this to either side of the motor, then attached to the tiller cross bars. Lines became slack when motor was raised, most slack removed when motor was lowered. If the motor wants to flip to one side when raised, one line might need to be removed if it restricts steering.

Worked very well.
