Cavalier, that isn't S. Secretary Is. is it? I camped there in the 60s with parents, then 70's with GF, now wife. Last time we visited there was a house/lodge built to the right. Beautiful place

No, that is further North and across Georgia in the Copeland Island chain just south of Desolation Sound. We parked in a "garage" and sailed the dink through the islets last year on the way North. Calm weather of course, it was a little tight for a blow.

I've moored in the Copelands too. Awesome, hair-raising rope swing was present about 25 years ago. Owning S. Secretary would be a dream but I'm not in that league, nor could I imagine using it enough.

Owning a boat is like having a self propelled waterfront cabin. You don't need to own the island and any time you want to change the scenery you can set sail.
