International Multihull Show '24

I'll be in France and have a chance to go to the show in La Grande Motte. They're expecting 70 boats this year.

Has anybody been? How many days should I plan for?

I went last year. Only worth it if you are going to see a specific boat or two. Make sure you contact the manufacturers before hand and make and appointment if you want to get on a boat. You only need a day, maybe two if you want to see everything and talk to everyone.

Why is it "only worth it" for a couple out of 70? Are they all appointment only?

I'm in the dreaming phase. Still 4 or 5 years before retirement when we'll sell the house and start cruising. I want to see see where things are, where they're going. What we like, what we don't. Since I have to go to France anyway, it seemed like it would be fun.

In that case explore away and learn as much as possible. I would make as many appointments as you can if you want to get on boats. Many boats from the big brands will require them. Ateast they did last year.

Excellent show. Well worth going, especially since you'll be in France anyway. Haven't been for a few years but might make it this year.
